Larp Weapons

Q: What kind of weapons do you fight with at DrachenFest?
A: DrachenFest uses foam and latex weapons designed for safe, theatrical combat. These weapons are built to meet specific safety requirements and must be professionally made—no cloth- or duct-tape-covered weapons, and nothing that flexes when swung.

We accept latex weapons that look like realistic medieval or fantasy weapons, as well as foam weapons made for LARP combat. Before use, all weapons must pass a safety check by our Referees.

We recommend weapons from trusted vendors like Wyvern Crafts, Epic Armory, or Calimacil. You can also purchase weapons at the event in the Bazaar, where several vendors offer ready-to-fight gear.

Key Requirements:

• No exposed cores, metal, or duct tape

• No “boffer”-style PVC weapons

• Weapons must not visibly flex when swung

• Thrown weapons must be coreless and safe

• All weapons must be inspected and tagged before use
