Disability Access Considerations

DrachenFest is a private, closed event and is not bound by U.S. federal or state laws to guarantee disability access. Participants with mobility disabilities should be aware that:

  • The event site is not fully wheelchair or assistive device (e.g., cane, walker) accessible.
  • Sanitation facilities and sleeping tent areas may be difficult to navigate.
  • Camps do not have paved roads, and terrain may include mud, uneven fields, and natural obstacles.

Service Animal Considerations

  • DrachenFest acknowledges ADA guidelines regarding service animals in public spaces. While DrachenFest is a private event, we strive to accommodate participants with disabilities to the best of our ability.
  • A service animal must be under control at all times.
  • Harnesses, leashes, or tethers are required unless the handler's disability prevents their use or they interfere with the service animal’s tasks.
  • Participants bringing service animals should plan accordingly for the terrain, weather, and camping conditions, as no additional accommodations can be guaranteed.
